20 Layers Project

So, this is my 20 Layers project. I'm pretty happy with it, though i think it looks way better in person than in the picture. I am happy with it mainly because it is way out of my comfort zone and I think I handled it pretty well.

Weekly Challenge 3: HDR

My challenge this week was to do an HDR photograph, meaning High Dynamic Range. Basically you stick together three photos: One that is underexposed, one that is overexposed, and one with exact exposure. Anyways...here's what I came out with.

Weekly Challenge 2: Miscellaneous

This weekend, Bekah and I painted my headboard for the new bed I got a couple of weeks ago. It doesn't specifically fit into a category, but it's a pretty cool project and I'm proud of it, so after checking with Bert we are using it as our weekly challenge. It's not quite finished, but when it is I'll definitely post a picture of it!

Summer Artwork

This image was taken when I went to Russia this summer. The picture is totally photo pure, although due to the heavy amount of salt at the Black Sea, the picture looks filtered. I really like this picture because although its very simple, it's unique.

This image was taken at the Vatican in Rome, Italy. I like this picture because even though it's (again) photo pure, it doesn't need a lot of editing since the scene kind of does the talking. The ceiling is incredibly intricate, and the lighting creates a smoky feel to the picture.

Weekly Challenge 1: Conflicting Emotions

For this weekly challenge, the theme I chose was conflicting emotions. The two emotions I was trying to portray in this piece were love (the man) and sadness (the woman). I'm not all that proud of this piece, but for the first week I think it turned out alright. It was originally just a pencil sketch, but I used Photoshop to color it in to make the piece stronger.
